Yazar: hongwei28
Konu: www.authenticsminnesotavikings.com
Gönderim Zamaný: 13.Haziran.2019 Saat 11:28

Marco Gonzales was looking for some retribution against the Kansas City Royals.

Gonzales (8-5) pitched a six-hitter for his first career complete game in the Seattle Mariners‘ 4-1 victory on Friday. The left-hander struck out seven and didn’t issue a walk while throwing just 96 pitches.

”My last outing against these guys didn’t go great – my second start of the year Garrett Bradbury Jersey , I think – so I was looking for some payback, too. So I was a little more amped than usual,” Gonzales said.

Mitch Haniger and Mike Zunino homered for Seattle.

Gonzales had been chased after just 2 1/3 innings of what became a 10-0 loss on April 9, but Friday’s start was much different. Gonzalez, who’d never taken a game into the eighth inning until going 7 1/3 innings against Tampa Bay earlier this month, didn’t need more than 13 pitches to finish any inning against the Royals.

”He has a lot of confidence right now because everything that’s happened to him this year, he’s earned Irv Smith Jr. Jersey ,” Mariners manager Scott Servais said.

Whit Merrifield singled to lead off the game and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Rosell Herrera. Gonzales picked Merrifield off second base to erase the baserunner and would retire nine straight batters before running into a spot of trouble in the fourth.

Herrera doubled off the glove of left fielder Denard Span with one out. An infield single from Mike Moustakas put runners on the corners, but Gonzales induced an inning-ending double play from Salvador Perez to keep the Royals off the board.

”The way that we’ve been playing and the fun that we’ve been having, I can’t wait for my fifth day to come,” Gonzales said. ”To be able to go out there and contribute in a positive way and have these guys rally behind you is pretty incredible.”

Royals starter Ian Kennedy (1-8) retired the first 10 batters he faced before running into trouble in the fourth. Jean Segura reached on an infield single to give Seattle its first baserunner of the game. Haniger followed with a two-run blast over the center-field wall to give the Mariners a 2-0 lead.

After fouling off three straight pitches with a 2-2 count, Zunino blasted a solo home run two rows from the top of the upper deck in left field to extend the Mariners’ lead to 3-0 in the fifth.

Kennedy left after five innings due to tightness in his left side that surfaced on the last pitch to Zunino.

”I felt it grab,” Kennedy said. ”And then the rest of the inning it stayed tight. The last couple pitches I was compensating for it, so I knew … the right thing to do is to say something.”

Segura added a two-out RBI single in the seventh inning off Brandon Maurer to give Seattle a 4-0 advantage.

Adalberto Mondesi doubled to open the ninth and Moustakas delivered a two-out single to center field to drive home the only run of the game for the Royals.

BONIFACIO RETURNS

Outfielder Jorge Bonifacio was recalled and back in the lineup for the Royals on Friday after completing an 80-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug. Bonifacio was suspended in March after testing positive for Boldenone Alexander Mattison Jersey , which is an anabolic androgenic steroid. Bonifacio started the game in left field and went 0 for 3 with a strikeout. He hit .255 with 17 home runs and 40 RBIs in 113 games as a rookie in 2017. OF Ryan Goins was designated for assignment on Thursday to clear a roster spot. ”It was a tough time down there in Arizona. But I learned from it. It’s never going to happen again,” Bonifacio said.

TRAINER’S ROOM

Royals: C Perez was back in the lineup after exiting Wednesday’s game in Milwaukee in the ninth inning after taking a foul ball off his right leg.

Mariners: 3B Kyle Seager was back in the lineup after making only a pinch-hit appearance in Baltimore on Sunday. Seager has an ”avulsion fracture” in his big toe and was given the day off in the field to rest. It’s not expected to require a disabled list stint and Seager is planning to play through the injury.

UP NEXT

Royals: RHP Jason Hammel (2-9) will make his 17th start of the season on Saturday. Hammel has lost four straight starts and has allowed at least three earned runs in three of the four outings.

Mariners: RHP Felix Hernandez (7-6) will take the hill for the 18th time this season as he looks to continue a run of strong starts. After a rough first two months of the season, Hernandez has allowed just one earned run in three of his five starts in June.

The Buffalo Bills hired Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator Sunday.

Coach Sean McDermott announced Daboll’s hiring two days after firing Rick Dennison.

The 42-year-old Daboll was the offensive coordinator for national champion Alabama. It was the sixth time he was part of the coaching staff for a national championship team.

Prior to last season, Daboll was the tight end’s coach for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. He has 17 seasons of coaching experience in the NFL, including stints as the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (2009-10), Miami Dolphins (2011) and Kansas City Chiefs (2012).

Daboll has previous ties to McDermott, as he was a restricted-earnings coach at William & Mary when McDermott was a senior safety in 1997. Daboll also has western New York roots Dru Samia Jersey , having graduated from St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, a few miles away from the Bills’ facility.

”We are excited to hire Brian as our offensive coordinator and welcome him back to western New York,” McDermott said in a statement posted to the team’s website. ”I know how much this area means to him. He is a good coach and a good teacher and has been part of winning programs in the NFL and in college.”

Daboll will be the Bills’ fifth offensive coordinator in six seasons.

The Bills finished 29th in offense this past season and their running attack fell to sixth after leading the league the past two seasons. Dennison’s play-calling was questioned after Buffalo scored just three points against Jacksonville in the franchise’s first playoff game in 18 years.

Daboll coordinated an Alabama offense that ranked 15th in the nation in scoring at 37.1 points per game and 13th in rushing. The Crimson Tide overcame a 10-point deficit to win the national championship game in overtime after freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was inserted into the game at halftime.

As a Patriots assistant from 2000-06 and 2013-16, Daboll won five Super Bowl rings.

—

Yazar: hongwei28
Konu: www.authenticsdenverbroncos.com
Gönderim Zamaný: 13.Haziran.2019 Saat 11:21

OAKLAND Drew Lock Jersey , Calif. — The San Diego Padres will attempt to cool down Jed Lowrie and the Oakland Athletics with a pitcher being promoted from the minor leagues when the clubs complete a two-game interleague series Wednesday afternoon.

Right-hander Luis Perdomo (1-2, 8.36 ERA), who has pitched well at Triple-A El Paso after a disastrous April for the Padres, is expected to be added to the 25-man major-league roster in time to duel A’s left-hander Sean Manaea (8-6, 3.38).

Oakland improved to 3-0 in its head-to-head meetings with San Diego this season with a come-from-behind, 6-2 victory Tuesday night in the series opener.

Lowrie had the big blow of the game, a three-run double as part of a five-run sixth inning that allowed the A’s to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 5-2 lead.

The big hit came in Lowrie’s return to his natural position, second base, after he had made 14 starts at third base while Matt Chapman was out with a hand injury.

Chapman was reinstated from the disabled list Tuesday and went 0-for-3.

A’s manager Bob Melvin pushed Lowrie for the American League All-Star team even before Tuesday’s heroics, hoping his time at third base caught the eye of those who will be selecting the club’s reserves.

“In those games, you never know where they go, and versatility could play a part http://www.thelionsfootballauthentic.com/austin-bryant-jersey-authentic ,” Melvin said. “So I think the fact he played so well at third base might even increase his chances to make the All-Star team.”

Lowrie is tied for third in the American League in RBIs with 59 and tied for sixth in doubles with 25.

He had three hits, including two home runs, and four RBIs when the A’s swept a pair from the Padres in San Diego last month.

The A’s have been on a roll since, winning 13 of their last 16 games to improve to a season-best-tying eight games over .500 (47-39).

Tuesday’s victory raised their interleague record to 6-2 this season.

Perdomo has faced neither Lowrie nor the A’s in his three-year career.

An eight-game winner in 2017, he began the season in the majors, but couldn’t get into the fifth inning in three of his four April starts before being sent to Triple A.

The 25-year-old seemed to regain his form there, going 6-2 with a 3.10 ERA in 11 starts, earning another shot at the bigs.

Perdomo has pitched in nine interleague games (eight starts) and compiled a 4-2 record and 5.63 ERA.

Manaea, meanwhile, is coming off a brilliant June at the big-league level, going 3-0 with a 2.84 ERA in five starts.

He won each of his last three starts to finish the month as one of four American Leaguers to go 3-0, joining Toronto’s J.A. Happ Will Harris Jersey , Baltimore’s Dylan Bundy and Cleveland’s Shane Bieber.

Manaea has never faced the Padres, but does have nine starts of interleague experience, having gone 2-5 with a 4.47 ERA.

Drop into just about any bank or supermarket or sports bar in the Kansas City metro area these days and there’s a good chance you’ll see one of several photographs from just a few years ago hanging on a wall.

It might be Yordano Ventura unleashing a fastball. Or Eric Hosmer sliding into home at Citi Field in New York. Or Wade Davis with his arms thrust high into the air, his blazing fastball having just closed out Game 5 of the World Series and making the Kansas City Royals the world champions.

More than likely, you’ll find the now-iconic photograph of Union Station, where an estimated 400,000 people turned out to celebrate the club’s first title in three decades.

Those photos are reminders of better times. And how quickly things can change.

The Royals, who were indeed baseball royalty in 2015, are now neck and neck with the Orioles for the worst record in baseball. They’ve traded off their star closer, their best players are struggling and the prospects that might one day raise them from the abyss are years away from joining the club.

”The record is what it is. The hitting is what it is. The pitching is what it is,” said Royals manager Ned Yost, who presided over the rebuild that led to back-to-back World Series appearances. ”I have to continue to lead. We have to make sure this year has not been a waste.”

How did things fall apart so quickly?

To start http://www.thelionsfootballauthentic.com/jahlani-tavai-jersey-authentic , the Royals doled out big contracts to players that have not produced. Left fielder Alex Gordon consumes 14 percent of the payroll in the third year of a $72 million, four-year deal, but he’s hitting just .247 with five homers and 15 RBIs. Right-hander Ian Kennedy consumes 11 percent of the payroll in the third year of a $70 million, five-year deal, and he’s 1-8 with a 5.11 ERA.

The few stars that remain on the roster have likewise struggled to produce.

Salvador Perez likely will see his streak of five straight All-Star games end. The catcher, in the third year of a $52 million, six-year deal, is hitting .255 with 11 homers and 33 RBIs.

Good luck winning many games that way.

The Royals were 25-61 heading into their off day Thursday and had lost 24 of their last 28 games. They needed to go 38-38 the rest of the way just to avoid the ignominy of 100 losses.

Making things worse: The Royals are losing that many games with a payroll of about $144 million.

Another reason for the precipitous slide was year after year of poor drafts. Only one of their 13 first-round picks since 2010 is currently on the 25-man roster; Hunter Dozier is hitting .223 in 44 games as he struggles to lock down an everyday job.

”As a young guy you know you’re going to fail, and in some ways we want you to fail because that’s how you’re going to get better,” said Yost, who is going through the same slow learning process with infielder and erstwhile top prospect Adalberto Mondesi.

The son of longtime big leaguer Raul Mondesi, he is hitting .214 in 42 at-bats this season.

”We also don’t want to heap too much on their shoulders T.J. Hockenson Jersey ,” Yost said, ”so it’s balancing act.”

Maybe that’s why the Royals have been slow to gut their roster in favor of a complete rebuild, even if that appears to be coming. They’ve already traded utility outfielder Jon Jay to the Diamondbacks and star closer Kelvin Herrera to the Nationals, getting five prospects in return that the Royals hope will help restock a farm system that remains one of the worst in baseball.

More moves could be coming, too. The Royals are hopeful of trading third baseman Mike Moustakas, who signed a one-year deal when no long-term offers materialized last offseason. Versatile infielder Whit Merrifield could land a few solid prospects, and left-hander Danny Duffy and even Perez could be made available, though both have torpedoed their value with poor seasons.

The combination of an old and bad team has been made even worse by the fact that the Royals are, well, pretty boring. They don’t hit an abundance of homers. Their starting rotation includes the first two pitchers to hit 10 losses in the majors. There are no young stars yet worth watching.

As a result, the Royals are drawing an average of 20,283 fans to Kauffman Stadium. That’s a drop of more than 7 http://www.thebroncosfootballauthentic.com/dre_mont-jones-jersey-authentic ,000 from last season and more than 13,000 from their championship season.

Still, for all the gloom, the typically irascible Yost has taken a decidedly optimistic approach to this season. He’s been through these long and painful rebuilds and come out the other side.

It takes patience. It takes smart moves. It takes more patience.

”There’s a lot of things to look at that you’re happy with, even though the record is what it is,” he said. ”There is progress that you’re going to see on the back end, in the light, just as we did in 2013 and 2014, when we turned the corner the last time.”

—

Yazar: hongwei28
Konu: www.ravenscheapstores.com
Gönderim Zamaný: 13.Haziran.2019 Saat 11:08

The massive football stadium complex at Hollywood Park is currently a bustling construction site. The $2.6 billion project won’t welcome fans through its doors for another two years.

But the Rams and the Chargers are eager to show you to your seat.

Los Angeles’ two NFL teams will begin selling season ticket memberships for their new stadium for the first time next week. Both will start with only their premium seating http://www.ravenscheapstores.com/miles-boykin-jersey-cheap , offering an array of privileges and amenities befitting the sizable price tags for the best 13,000-odd seats in what could be the most expensive arena in the world.

With relocation fading into memory after a pair of winning seasons in LA, both franchises are eager to move into the bright future promised by the palatial project rising in Inglewood. The 70,240-seat arena will also host the Super Bowl, the College Football Playoff title game and Olympic events in its first decade of existence after it opens in 2020.

”This has been a long time coming,” said A.G. Spanos, the Chargers’ president of business operations. ”When I was at USC, we were talking about a new stadium in LA back then. This has been a slow pot to boil in Los Angeles, but the future is here. This venue is incredibly exciting.”

In an office building in coastal Playa Vista, the teams will begin showing off the project to their fans on Tuesday, starting with visits from many current season ticket holders for both clubs. The sleek LA Stadium Premiere Center features detailed scale models, video hype reels and a staff with carefully curated sales pitches for the privately financed project spearheaded by Rams owner Stan Kroenke.

”It’s exciting when you fly in and you see the steel coming out of the ground, or when you drive up and you see the stadium starting to take shape,” Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said. ”And now this is the first chance the fans really get to participate in being part of the stadium and seeing Stan’s vision come to life.”

The Rams and Chargers have also unveiled the first prices for tickets – and the prices for the stadium seat licenses that provide the opportunity to buy tickets.

Instead of selling the now-ubiquitous personal seat licenses http://www.coltscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-bobby-okereke-jersey Jersey , with which fans pay a sometimes-hefty fee for the opportunity to buy their tickets, the Chargers and Rams are selling a similar concept with a similar name, but one big difference: For the first time in NFL stadium history, that money will be returned to the fans – albeit in 50 years.

Instead of the naked cash grab of a PSL, the SSL is essentially an interest-free loan to finance the stadium construction. The structure also allows both the teams and the fans to avoid paying taxes on the licenses.

”We really feel like they are making an investment, and they’re a shareholder in the team and the stadium project,” Demoff said. ”For us, rather than fan money going to taxes, it can go directly to the construction of the building. It builds a better building, and it requires no taxpayer money to do so. It’s a unique concept that we expect will be replicated from here on out.”

The Rams’ stadium seat licenses will begin at $100,000 for the stadium’s 500 ”all-access” seats, located in two sections on either end of the 50-yard line. The Chargers’ SSLs will be $75,000 for the same seats, which include food and beverages Noah Fant Jersey , access to clubs, special parking and the guaranteed opportunity to buy tickets to the Super Bowl and every other event controlled by the stadium owners.

Those prices are higher than the most top PSLs for many recent NFL stadiums, but significantly lower than the reported $150,000 charged by the Dallas Cowboys for their top seats at AT&T Stadium, which opened in 2009. The 49ers charged $80,000 for the PSLs for the top 1,000 seats at Levis Stadium, which opened in 2014.

The Rams’ remaining SSLs for the premium seats range from $80,000 to $15,000, with most falling in the lower category for club seats. The Chargers’ other SSLs range from $50,000 to $10,000.

The Rams and Chargers are confident the structure will help as they persuade fans to pay for the licenses while knowing they’ll get all the money back in 2068 – or at least their heirs will.

Once the SSL is purchased, the Rams’ tickets for those premium seats are $375 per game http://www.denverbroncosteamonline.com/dalton-risner-jersey , and the Chargers’ are $350.

Both teams obviously will sell the other three-quarters of the stadium at much lower prices, and the ticket prices won’t change during the stadium’s first three years.

”It’s very hard to compete at the highest level if you don’t have a first-class facility, and that’s something that our family has been working toward for a long time,” said John Spanos, the Chargers’ president of football operations. ”We’re excited that it’s here soon.”

—

Max Fried was so good that he didn’t even need all the support Nick Markakis and the Braves provided for his first win of the season.

Markakis hit a grand slam, Fried took a shutout into the seventh inning and Atlanta beat the St. Louis Cardinals 11-4 on Saturday night.

”You’ve got to give all the credit to Max,” Markakis said. ”He went out and pitched one of the better games I’ve seen. For him, two runs early on was enough for him. It was nice to get some runs and give him a nice cushion there.”

The Braves have won the first two games of the three-game set. The Cardinals have dropped three in a row.

Fried (1-2) stymied the Cardinals on 101 pitches before being pulled with two outs in the seventh. Recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to start the game, he struck out 11, allowed four singles and walked three.

”My curveball was definitely on tonight,” said Fried, who also recorded his first major league hit with a single in the fifth. ”I was able to throw it for strikes, put it in the dirt when I wanted to. The big thing for me was getting the fastball over. I felt like I was able to get strike one pretty good. That was my main goal.”

Luke Weaver (4-7) went 4 2/3 innings, giving up 10 runs on eight hits Drew Lock Jersey , walking two and striking out five. He gave up homers to Markakis in his final inning and a two-run shot to Ronald Acuna Jr. in the second.

”At the end of the day, I was just done on a couple big swings,” Weaver said. ”I thought I threw some pitches in good spots, but it’s got to be executed a little bit better and you’ve just got to flush these types of days.”

The Braves sent 11 players to the plate in the six-run fifth. After Ozzie Albies doubled in Fried, the Cardinals intentionally walked Freddie Freeman to face Markakis. The right fielder hit his ninth homer of the season and fourth career grand slam off a 3-2 pitch.

”To be honest with you, I was just looking to hit something into the outfield and get a run in, and I ended up one of the better at-bats in the season,” Markakis said. ”I looked back at the video and (the pitch) wasn’t exactly where he wanted it, but he threw it somewhere close to the zone and I put a good swing on it.”

He added a sacrifice fly in the sixth to bring in Albies, finishing with five RBI on the day.

Albies went 3 for 5 and has a 10-game hit streak, batting .467 (21 for 47) during that span.

The Cardinals scored all of their runs in the ninth off Matt Wisler, including a leadoff home run from Jose Martinez.

LONGEVITY

Cardinals C Yadier Molina played in his 1,800th game, joining Hall of Famers Stan Musial http://www.denverbroncosteamonline.com/dre_mont-jones-jersey , Lou Brock, Ozzie Smith and Enos Slaughter as Cardinals to play in at least that many. Molina entered the majors in 2004 and has spent his entire career with St. Louis. The Braves said it was part of the regular rotation between Flowers and C Kurt Suzuki. The two have alternated starts for the past 16 games.

Cardinals: RHP Luke Gregerson (right shoulder impingement) is scheduled to begin a rehab stint at Triple A Memphis on Sunday. After tossing a 4-0 shutout against the Washington Nationals on June 1, he went 0-1 in his final three starts of the month. He failed to get past the fifth in any his final three June outings.

Cardinals: RHP John Gant (2-2, 3.48) is coming off his best start of the season, giving up one hit over seven innings as St. Louis beat the Cleveland Indians 4-0 on Monday. This is his first appearance against his former club since a 2016 trade that saw the Cardinals send starting pitcher Jaime Garcia to the Braves in exchange for three minor leaguers, including Gant.

—

I spent a few years of the mid 2000s watching and hoping that Volquez would become the first good Ranger pitcher since Kenny Rodgers. They of course traded him for Josh Hamilton. Won two pennants. Lost the big game each time. I also spent the beginning portion of this decade placing hopes and dreams in Darvish’s pocket after 2011’s loss. Watching hundreds of strike outs. Seething v. Toronto. However, his 2018 season looks worse to the naked eye when watching his performance game in and game out.The Green Bay Packers had a glut of injuries in 2015, when Rodgers was coming off his second MVP award. Jordy Nelson’s torn ACL robbed him of his favorite target, Davante Adams dealt with ankle problems all year long, and it became obvious that Randall Cobb could not be counted on as a true number one receiver. It was so bad that the team had to pull James Jones back in off the street to lead the team in receiving yards. However, much of the team’s struggles were also due to opposing defenses finally figuring out how to defend the Packers, particularly when they did not have a true deep threat. In 2018, the Packers thankfully had their number one receiver, Adams, healthy all year. He’s now on pace for 1,502 yards and he already has triple-digit receptions this season with two games to go. Injuries to Cobb and WR3 Geronimo Allison have forced rookies into the lineup, but it is Rodgers’ uneven performance that is primarily responsible for the team’s struggles. His misses on easy throws are inexplicable. His misses on open receivers on deep balls are uncharacteristic and baffling. And these mistakes seem to come in the most critical situations — on third downs or late in games.Yes, Rodgers has made a few big plays late. He drove the Packers to a remarkable comeback against the Bears in week one and again against the 49ers in week six. Yes, Rodgers dealt with a significant knee injury early in the season Womens Mason Crosby Jersey , which likely hurt his mechanics. Furthermore, Rodgers is hardly the only Packer making mistakes; costly fumbles by Ty Montgomery and Aaron Jones cost the Packers opportunities to come back against two of the NFL’s best teams, while Mike McCarthy’s decision-making helped lose additional games and eventually his job.But if the Packers want to bounce back to contend in 2019, Rodgers absolutely must play better than he has in 2018. Today’s curds take a close look at his struggles and his plans for the remainder of this season.Aaron Rodgers wants to finish the season right | Packers.comThis is the first time since Rodgers' first season as a starter in 2008 that he will be on the active roster after the Packers have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Still, he has no plans to take a back seat over these final two games.Aaron Rodgers keeps missing the mark | Packersnews.comPerhaps one of the things that Rodgers can work on in these final two games is getting his mechanics and accuracy back to their normal levels. The two missed deep balls in a tie game set up the Bears to take the lead, and Rodgers' inaccurate pass to Jimmy Graham -- though still arguably catchable -- was deflected for a season-killing interception.Packers QB Aaron Rodgers tweaked groin in loss to Bears | Packers WireThankfully, Rodgers is not going to use this minor injury as an excuse for his play. It seemed to affect his mobility slightly, but should not have caused his inaccuracy in the second half.Packers go down with a fight; no hope left for the season - ESPNA team losing a lot more close games than it wins usually means it is primed for a rebound the next year. The Packers' record in close games (8 points or less) is 2-6-1 this season, and those breaks should even out a bit better next year.NFL Week 15: The 12 dumbest mistakes from Saturday and Sunday, ranked - SBNation.comMatt Nagy outsmarting himself with a fake punt and Tarik Cohen's read-option comes in at number 5 on this week's list.Man defecates on FedEx Forum hallway floor during sold-out game | WREG.comMemphis was playing number 3 Tennessee this weekend, but this guy was a lot more worried about number 2, which he took care of behind a concession stand. Sure, the lines were probably long for the restroom, but COME ON. Maryland star Darnell Savage says he models his game after Bears standout Eddie Jackson. With his speed Justin McCray Jersey White , versatility and playmaking, he might just be right."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections The APC PodcastPackers Film RoomFantasy Football AdviceCDTShareTweetShareShareDarnell Savage brings shades of Adrian Amos’ Chicago running mate to the PackersDarnell Savage is the perfect blend of athleticism and attitude to pair with Adrian Amos. Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY SportsThe perfect complement to new Green Bay Packers safety Adrian Amos would have speed, playmaking, and coverage ability, including some slot work. Eddie Jackson ticked all those boxes in Chicago, allowing Amos to play steady, assignment football while Jackson created splash plays. On day one of the 2019 NFL Draft, Green Bay traded up from the 30th pick to number 21, nabbing a guy who has a chance to check all of those same boxes. Maryland safety Darnell Savage lives up to his name, a heat-seeking missile who flies around with bad intentions despite a lean 5-foot-11, 198-pound frame. But his reckless abandon creates plays around him. Put him in the slot, deep, in the box, in zone coverage Marwin Evans Jersey , or in man — Savage can play anywhere with 4.36 speed and swagger to spare. He may not have the deep-middle instincts of Jackson, but Mike Pettine likely won’t ask him to play single-high safety on a regular basis given his propensity to go big nickel. Amos, on the field with Savage and Josh Jones, gives Green Bay two über athletes and a Steady Eddie in Amos. From a fit standpoint, there wasn’t a safety in this draft with more appeal for the Packers coming into the draft. Clearly, Brian Gutekunst and his staff agreed, giving up their pair of fourth-round picks to move up for Savage. More than that, Pettine’s defense has no intuitive long-term starter next to Amos, with repeated insistence from the team that Tramon Williams would preferably be a corner for the team. Safety was perhaps the only position the Packers could foreseeably start a rookie barring injury. In terms of impact, that means Savage could come in and play 60, 70, 80% of snaps or more if he can pick up the defense quickly. It’s hard to imagine another player at any position coming in and immediately giving them that. Such immediate impact may have lead to the decision to take Savage over some highly rated offensive linemen like Jawaan Tayl*, Dalton Risner, and Andre Dillard. One explanation would be the Packers view Billy Turner Nick Perry Jersey White , who was ostensibly overpaid as a right guard, as the heir apparent to Bryan Bulaga at right tackle. As a result, Gutekunst and Co. wouldn’t see the value of taking a future right guard in the first round. If that was the calculation, there’s an easy road to making the case a safety they love would be the most impactful player on the board. Savage must have been S1 on the Packers’ board and viewed as clearly better than other options like Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Juan Thornhill, Nasir Adderley, and others. Could they have waited to take Savage until 30 and not given up the picks? Perhaps, but just a few selections later, the Raiders tabbed Johnathan Abram. If Savage had been there could he have been the pick? It’s possible, and the value Green Bay got in the trade up, via whatever trade value chart one wants to use, favors the Packers. Gutekunst moved up to get his guy with solid value. That guy happens to be the perfect fit for one of Gutekunst’s other guys, a free agent priority and a steadying force in the secondary. Savage can play out of control at times. He’ll gamble in zone coverage in particular. But when a team has a player as consistently assignment-sound as Amos, that’s a risk worth taking for the splash plays. Rashan Gary’s selection left plenty of Packers fans scratching their heads. There should be no questions about how Darnell Savage fits into this defense Mason Crosby Jersey White , particularly next to Amos. This defense is faster, more athletic, more relentless, and a little bit scarier than it was yesterday. Will it be better? It’s April, so we’ll see, but Savage possesses the skillset to slot in next to Amos and shine. It’s not fair to put the kind of All-Pro expectations of Eddie Jackson on Savage yet, but the shades are there, the traits hinting at how this pairing could work. If nothing else, Amos should feel right at home next to a speedy playmaker who plays the game with attitude. Smash and Savage are coming to an NFC North receiver group near you.
I don’t know where both came from and both make me itchy. Okay http://www.lionslockerroom.com/authentic-frank-ragnow-jersey , I do know where it came from. The term “America’s Team” literally came from the Cowboy’s themselves in their own 1978 highlight video. The Cowboys are your friend that says he lost his virginity at 14 and says it “lasted for like three hours.” Let’s get to the history. Once upon a time, Elvis Presley asked all the ladies of the world, Are You Lonesome tonight? On that same day, the world went and saw Swiss Family Robinson, and Kenneth Branagh, the bad guy from Wild Wild West, was born... Actually he was born the day before, but he was probably still in the hospital. Also, the Lions played the Cowboys for the first time. It’s hard to believe that Jerry Jones AKA Shelly Marcone from The Last Boy Scout was just an 18-year-old boy when these two teams met for the first time way back in 1960. He watched the Lions win 23-14 that day, and then swore on the moon and the stars in the sky that he would some day hug Chris Christie in his press box, come hell or high water. Since that first meeting Womens Nick Bellore Jersey , the Lions are 12-15 all time against the team football team equivalent to Abercrombie and Fitch stores. You’ll be happy to know that the Lions are 2-2 against the Cowboys in the last four games. You’ll be sad to know that the Lions haven’t won in Dallas since 2011. To the questions!!!It’s Barry Sanders world and Emmitt Smith is just living in it. These two only went head-to-head three times in their careers. Barry rushed for 357 yards but never scored a rushing touchdown. Emmett rushed for 276 yards and five touchdowns. Still, the questions was who had more yards, so Barry wins and Emmitt doesn’t. Who will ever forget Dez saying he could do all the things that Calvin could do before the two teams faced off in 2013? Calvin then went on finish with the second most receiving yards in a single game that day. Good times. As far as totals, both have played exactly four games against the opposing team. Dez has caught 13 receptions for 187 yards and seven touchdowns against the Lions. Calvin Johnson caught 33 receptions for 522 yards and four touchdowns. You can see who’s better. It’s funny you should mention this. I talked with former NFL Vice President of Officiating Dean Blandino about the infamous picked up flag that occurred in the 2014 playoffs. Now that you’ve seen my cheap plug for my other article that I put out today, go read it right here. Yes, that really happened.Sam Darnold sparkled in his NFL debut — after a disastrous first throw, of course — and the New York Jets dominated on offense, defense and special teams for a stunningly complete 48-17 victory over Detroit in their season opener Monday night. And, just like that, hopes have been raised just one week into the season. Well, everywhere outside the Jets' facility Womens Marvin Jones Jr Jersey , that is."Our expectations were like that before the game," coach Todd Bowles said Tuesday. "So, it doesn't change any. We had high expectations to begin with. That game changes nothing for us. It was just one game. We've got 15 more to go. We're going to try to win them different ways. Obviously, every week won't be the same, but our expectations haven't changed."Just a few days before the game, Bowles made the matter-of-fact statement that he's not here to collect a check or go 8-8, which would be a solid improvement on the 5-11 marks the Jets have had the past two years. He said he's here to try to lead this franchise to a Super Bowl.Sure, that seems like a stretch right now, but his players might be right there with him on that gameplan. They saw what they can accomplish when everything is clicking and what they can be if they can come close to replicating what went on in Detroit."I know what we're capable of doing and even that wasn't our best game," wide receiver Quincy Enunwa said after the win. "So, I think that going forward we're going to go ahead and fix the corrections and we're going to play better every game Womens Miles Killebrew Jersey , that's our goal."Next up is the home opener against AFC East-rival Miami, and a chance to open the season 2-0 for the first time since Bowles' first year as coach in 2015.New York will have a short week after that with a Thursday night game at Cleveland. Three games in 11 games — with some fans on social media and sports radio already thinking about the Jets opening 3-0 since Rex Ryan's first season as coach in 2009."The Culture has CHANGED!!" safety Jamal Adams tweeted shortly after the win . "I've been telling y'all... the Jets are DIFFERENT this year. This is just the beginning!"Both Adams, who had the first interception of his career, and linebacker Darron Lee, who picked off his first two passes, said they knew what the Lions were doing on just about every play as New York finished with five interceptions of Matthew Stafford.Bowles said Tuesday that it was simply a product of preparation."No, we didn't know any audibles," the coach said. "We didn't know any plays. I think those guys did a good job of following the assignments that the coaches taught them. And they were anticipating certain things. They have certain formations and they were in the right position and good position to make those types of plays."Either way, it certainly worked. It helped that Darnold bounced back from a brutal beginning in which the first throw of his NFL career was intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Quandre Diggs.Rather than get rattled, the youngest quarterback to start a season opener in the Super Bowl era played with the poise of a veteran. The 21-year-old Darnold finished 16 of 21 for 198 yards and touchdowns to Robby Anderson and Enunwa."I thought he played well after the first play," Bowles said. "He did some good things. We had some problems with the headset Womens Devon Kennard Jersey , so we had to call timeout a few times, but that was no fault of his. We just had some headset issues where they weren't working where he could hear the play, but I thought he handled himself well."The coaches and players have raved about Darnold's maturity and football smarts from the day he started practicing with them in May after being the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. Those very attributes were on display in front of a prime-time audience on Monday night."He's the same guy every day," Bowles said of Darnold. "I think that's important at the quarterback position for you to be the same guy. You know what you're getting out of the guy and you trust that type of person when you're the same guy every day, and that's really been the most impressive thing."Bowles has both played and coached in the NFL for the better part of the past 30 years and come across lots of young players during that time. The coach senses something simply different about Darnold because of that even-keeled focus already."It's great to see," Bowles said. "It's rare more nowadays. It was a little more common back then (when Bowles played) for whatever reason, but it's a little more rare than what I've been around and it's exciting to see because he's got an old soul. He's young in age but understands the game very well. He works at it the right way."
Going into Week 6, Vigil actually led the NFL in stops (tackles causing an offensive failure), according to Pro Football Focus. The third-year linebacker was one of the few bright spots in a Bengals defense that’s been a massive disappointment this season. With Vigil out, that means guys like Hardy Nickerson and Jordan Evans are going to get more snaps. It came down to the wire for coach Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers Womens Bradley Pinion Jersey , who failed to stop quarterback Eli Manning and the Giants’ offense in the game’s final minutes, falling 27-23 under the lights of Levi’s Stadium. Here’s five takeaways from the 49ers’ eighth loss of the season:Mullens a little less magicalFormer third-string quarterback Nick Mullens set the bar high with one of the greatest debuts in NFL history, tossing three touchdowns and no interceptions in the 49ers’ Week 9 victory over the Raiders. His performance on Monday wasn’t up to those standards, completing 27 of 39 passes for 250 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions and quarterback rating of 73.7. Mullens’ second game as the 49ers starter was unspectacular, neither seeming like the winning ingredient of the reason for the loss.Pass rush absentIn Week 9, the 49ers sacked Raiders quarterback Derek Carr eight times and added another nine quarterback hits. They were unable to generate anything close to the same amount of pressure against the Giants Garrett Celek Jersey , despite a vulnerable offensive line. The defense only managed one sack against Manning, who shredded the 49ers in the fourth-quarter to take the late-game lead and put the game out of reach. It was a disappointing return to reality for a defensive front that showed promise against the Raiders. Fred Warner stands outWarner didn’t light up the stat sheet, with four tackles and two pass breakups officially, but the 49ers’ third-round pick made several plays that kept the game within reach for the 49ers. In the second quarter, Warner met Giants running back Saquon Barkley in the hole on third-and-goal from the three, forcing a Giants field goal. In the third quarter, he tipped a would-be touchdown pass from Giants quarterback Eli Manning to receiver Odell Beckham Jr., again forcing a field goal. To top it off Steve Young Jersey , Warner had two drive-killing pass breakups while covering Beckham Jr. over the middle of the field. A standout night for the 49ers’ rookie.Dante Pettis strugglingThe 49ers’ second-year receiver has gotten off to a slow start since his Week 8 return from knee injury. Dante Pettis has been unable to make any real impact on the 49ers’ passing attack, despite veteran Pierre Gar莽on missing two of the last three games. Against the Giants, on two occasions, Pettis was thrown the ball on third down, and both times he failed to drive upfield and secure the first down, instead opting to make defenders miss unsuccessfully. Both times prompted discussions with Shanahan and receivers coach Mike LaFleur on the sideline. The defense crumbles againWith 8:15 remaining in the third quarter, the defense had held the Giants to just 10 points and given the 49ers a 10-point lead. What was a mostly solid performance until that point was followed by a 17-point collapse, including a nine-play Marquise Goodwin Jersey , 75-yard drive in the fourth quarter resulting in a Manning touchdown pass to receiver Sterling Shepard with less than a minute left in the game. It was a familiar tale of ill-timed penalties and missed assignments that authored the 49ers’ late-game struggles and eighth loss of season. The 49ers defense set a couple of dubious NFL records this season. They set the record for fewest takeaways by forcing just seven turnovers. Two of those takeaways were interceptions and that’s also a record low for an NFL defense. They also finished 28th in the league in points allowed, which added up to a question for head coach Kyle Shanahan about sticking with defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.Shanahan noted the team’s improvement in run defense while explaining that he expects Saleh back along with the rest of this year’s coaching staff.“I’m with him every day, so I know how good of a coach he is,” Shanahan said, via the . “I know how he is schematically. I know how he is dealing with the players. I know what he can handle just with his personality and how smart he is.”One way to force more turnovers would be to improve the pass rush and General Manager John Lynch indicated that will be a priority this offseason. He said there are “good pass rushers in this draft” and having the second overall pick gives the Niners a good chance of landing one.

TopSolid V7 : Vontaze Burfict Jersey

    Yazar: hongwei28
Konu: Vontaze Burfict Jersey
Gönderim Zamaný: 17.Mayýs.2019 Saat 11:35

The Raiders have a long history of giving players with checkered pasts a second look and they may consider going down that route again this year.NFL Media reports that the Raiders are bringing linebacker Vontaze Burfict in for a visit. The oft-penalized and oft-suspended Burfict was released by the Bengals on Monday. In addition to the aforementioned history with players who fell out of favor elsewhere Vontaze Burfict Jersey , the Raiders make sense as a possible landing spot for Burfict for another reason. Their defensive coordinator Paul Guenther had the same job in Cincinnati from 2014 to 2017 and was the linebackers coach when Burfict joined the team as an undrafted free agent.Burfict’s best seasons came while playing for Guenther and we’ll see if this week’s meeting turns into a chance of recapturing that success. If so, it could make for some interesting conversations with Antonio Brown as the wideout was once on the receiving end of a Burfict head shot in the 2015 playoffs. Sure, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a talented player who can make plays in the vertical passing game and on RPOs, but it is his ability to create that sets him apart. Mahomes can use his legs to extend plays and when he gets out of the pocket he does an incredible job throwing the ball from unconventional body positions. Mahomes drops back on this red-zone play. Not finding an open man, he ducks inside the edge defender to his left Womens Jordan Evans Jersey , they b-lines towards the pylon. Broncos safety Darian Stewart is not match for Mahomes’ speed and the young quarterback scores with ease. Here, Mahomes again ducks inside the pass rush and takes off to the left. This time, he keeps his eyes down field and is able to find his tight end Travis Kelce on the other side of the field for a first down. This is an incredible play by Mahomes, making a big-time pass when the play had seemingly broken down. One of the greatest quarterbacksand creators of all time was Steve Young. Young was a gritty player, who always found a way to get things done even in unconventional ways. Young was also a lefty Womens Jordan Willis Jersey , and I mention that because Mahomes is not, but he managed to keep this play a live by throwing a pass left-handed to wide receiver Tyreek Hill for the first down.It is insane how Mahomes keeps this play alive. First, it looks bad as Mahomes is forced to turn and attempt to scramble to the right side because defensive end Arik Armstead is pressuring him from the right side. Then it gets worse, as Cassius Marsh appears forcing Mahomes to reverse course and roll all the way back to the 24 yard line (20 yards behind the line of scrimmage). But Mahomes has a way of figuring things out, and he does just that as he finds wide receiver Chris Conley in the back of the endzone.Mahomes has an incredible ability to extend plays with his feet. His athletic ability means that the pass rush must keep outside contain at all times. This could be tough on defensive end Carl Lawson who loves the inside move. Even if a team does contain him Giovani Bernard Jersey , as the clips above showed, he often sneaks out of the pocket inside of the edge rusher. Rushing every gap could solve that problem, but then every Chiefs receiver, tight end, and running back would be man coverage http://www.thebengalslockerroom.com/authentic-josh-malone-jersey , and the Bengals would not have any help over the top. A defense could look to spy him, but that is likely occupying a linebacker who should be helping with Kelce. Mahomes’ ability to create makes a scary Chiefs’ offense even more fearsome.

TopSolid V7 : Ali Marpet Jersey White

    Yazar: hongwei28
Konu: Ali Marpet Jersey White
Gönderim Zamaný: 17.Mayýs.2019 Saat 11:30

No QB controversy for Bucs week one Two preseason games in the books Ali Marpet Jersey White , two to go. Unlike the first where Ryan Fitzpatrick was on fire, there were some struggles in Tennessee for the bearded wonder. For Jameis Winston and Ryan Griffin, there were no troubles at all.But don’t read into that too much.We know that come week four, Winston is the guy. Period. End of discussion. However, there are starting to be some rumbles and murmurings that Griffin should get the chance to start given his lights out performances in both preseason games.Whoa. Just calm down.Sign up for Bucs Nation FanPulse!Griffin has had the benefit of playing against third stringers and players that won’t be on rosters come regular season. Fitz is still going against the starters. There’s a big difference in skill level between the two and that needs to be remembered when comparing the two.Koetter spoke about the quarterback situation on Monday and stood firm that Fitzpatrick is the guy and there’s little to nothing that will change that; You can’t expect Griffin to come in and do what he’s done in the preseason against third team defenses with little-to-no game planning involved and replicate those results against first team defenses in New Orleans or home against Philadelphia or Pittsburgh when they install a game plan and prepare for the Bucs. The best bet to tread enough water and not be in an inescapable hole by the time Winston returns is to stick with the veteran - and that’s exactly what they’re going to do. There are just two weeks left of another miserable season for the Buccaneers. They take their 5-9 record to Dallas this Sunday to take on the NFC East-leading Cowboys. Tampa Bay isn’t necessarily without anything to play for, as left tackle Demar Dotson said after last week’s loss to the Ravens. No, he wasn’t talking about playing for the job of Dirk Koetter. He was talking about playing for his own job, which is an approach that many guys could and should be taking in the next two weeks.Aside from roster spots and pride, some guys on the field will have a chance to break (or get closer to breaking) some franchise records. Let’s see where things stand as the Bucs head into Dallas on Christmas Eve Eve.Career ReceptionsMike Evans has 383 receptions in his career, leaving him 48 away from owning the franchise record. The top spot is currently held by James Wilder (430). Career Passing YardsJameis Winston has plenty of work to do to get to the franchise record for career passing yards, though he will fall shy if the Bucs decide to cut him after the season. He stands at 13,947 right now Womens Chris Godwin Jersey , which means he needs 874 to pass Vinny Testaverde (14,820) for the top spot.Career CompletionsWinston moved from fourth to second last week for career completions. He has 1,127, which means he needs 18 more to take the franchise record from Josh Freeman (1,144).Career Passing AttemptsWith 1,839 passing attempts, Winston ranks fifth in team history. He is 52 away from passing Doug Williams (1,890) for fourth.Career Rushing TouchdownsFor career rushign touchdowns, Winston now shares 14th place all-time with Peyton Barber. Both guys have nine rushing scores, leaving them two away from passing Michael Pittman (10) for 13th. Jacquizz Rodgers is still stuck in a 29th-place tie with three rushing touchdowns. He would pull into a tie for 26th with one more.Career TacklesLavonte David got closer to third in career tackles last week. He now stands at 631, which means he needs 50 more to pass Hardy Nickerson (680).Gerald McCoy finally passed Tanard Jackson for sole possession of 22nd in franchise history. At 214 tackles, he is 14 away from 21st Chris Godwin Jersey White , which is held by Reuben Davis (227).Career SacksMcCoy has 54 1鈦? sacks in his career, leaving him 15 1鈦? away from second in team history. Simeon Rice (69 1/2) currently has the No. 2 spot.Career SafetiesLavonte David is tied for first in franchise history with one safety. He would own the franchise record all by himself with one more.Career InterceptionsDavid is still tied for 17th with 10 career interceptions. One more would tie him with Jermaine Phillips and Jeremiah Castille (11) for 15th. Career Passes DefendedDavid and Brent Grimes are still tied for seventh in Bucs history with 38 passes defended. They are five away from beating John Lynch (42) for sixth.Career Fumble RecoveriesWith his fumble recovery against the Ravens, David now has 13 in his career. He gained sole possession of the franchise record, which he previously shared with Ronde Barber.Career Forced Fumbles David is third in forced fumbles with 18. He needs two more to pass Simeon Rice (19) for second all-time.Career Games PlayedSunday is Gerald McCoy’s 122nd game with the Bucs, which brings him into a 13th-place tie with John Cannon. With game No. 122, McCoy will pass Lee Roy Selmon, Chidi Ahanotu and Jimmie Giles (121). As long as he plays Sunday, Demar Dotson will have 114 career games played. That ties him for 20th-most in team history with Scot Brantley.Lavonte David will be playing career game No. 104 on Sunday, which will tie him for 32nd in Bucs history with Hardy Nickerson. Single-Season Receiving YardsMike Evans’ 121-yard day against the Ravens on Sunday brought him even closer to the team’s single-season receiving record. He has 1,328 yards this season, so he needs 95 yards over the final two games to break the record that Mark Carrier set at 1,422 in 1989.Single-Season Total Yards (Team)The current franchise record for team yards in a season is 6 Donovan Smith Jersey ,014, which was set in 2015. With two games left to play in 2018, the Bucs are at 5,832. They need 183 more yards to break the record. Single-Season Passing Yards (Team)On Sunday against the Ravens, Jameis Winston helped set a new franchise record for team passing yards in a single season. His 157 yards got Tampa Bay to 4,464 on the year, which beats the previous record of 4,366 that was set last year. This year’s total is split between Winston (2,311) and Ryan Fitzpatrick (2,366). Winston will look to add to the record over the team’s final two games of the season.
