Tyrann Matthieu and LaMarcus Joyner both signed for more than $40 million.That’s life-changing money.Still Anthony Chickillo Jersey , Davis insists he’s entering the fourth and final year of the rookie contract he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016 focused on taking a step forward after an occasionally bumpy 2018, not a possibly lucrative payday that beckons next spring.“Yeah I think the safety market went up,” Davis said Tuesday after participating in organized team activities for the first time after sitting out the first two weeks with what he described as overall stiffness.“That just puts a little more pressure on me to get the job done and to compete with (those) contracts but like I said, it’s no pressure. I’m not putting no pressure on myself. No pressure on my team. WeaknessesOffers little resistance to offensive linemen blocking him. Can get washed out of plays pretty easily. Looked like he has close to zero moves to get off blocks. I’m not so sure about his instincts and read and react ability. He looks to be a bit slow in diagnosing plays but makes up a lot of ground with his speed. Regardless of what Bruce Allen says there still is a chance Reuben Foster could be suspended for some period of time by the NFL not to mention the probability of Foster making a mistake again. Mason Foster should not be brought back for obvious reasons and the Redskins may not bring back Zach Brown as there seems to be some tension between him and the team. It would be a wise investment in the position to draft a player like Pratt on day 2 if they do not look to the position in the 1st rounds. Pratt has his issues but by and large he is fundamentally solid and is a well rounded player. He could start right away in this defense and has the skill set to remain on the field in all situations. Pratt probably would be the most athletic linebacker on the team and could definitely help the Redskins in the run game and in coverage. As he develops I expect him to be able to diagnose things a bit quicker (remember he is a converted safety). Front offices like his size and power and that he is ready to go on day one. Sorry to burst bubbles but all of the starting guards are going to be gone by end of round two. If the Redskins want a day one ready player like McGovern who doesn’t need to add weight or work out in the weight room they are going to have to spend a second round pick. This may not surprise some of you if you look at where the majority of starting guards have been taken in the draft the last few years who did need that type of development to get on the field in their first season. How does he fit? He would be an asset in the Redskins power run scheme. This is an area he shines in because of his blend of power and athleticism.
