He is a natural lead blocker, and was primarily used in this role in Wisconsin’s I-formations. He was an extension of their offensive line, as he is a physical player that plays with great pad level. Ingold had zero fumbles in his collegiate career. He is a competitor and has experience on Special Teams. WeaknessesWhile he can get the job done, Ingold lacks elite athleticism and will never be a threat as a ball-carrier in the NFL. He also does not bring much value to the passing game as he didn’t run many routes in college Cheap Clelin Ferrell Jersey , and his pass-pro could be improved. VerdictOverall, Ingold was arguably the best fullback in his class, and he was the only player at his position to be invited to the Senior Bowl and Scouting Combine. He is an asset as a lead blocking fullback, and he impressed at the Senior Bowl under the Raiders coaching staff. Fit With RaidersAfter a disappointing season from Kieth Smith, Ingold will have a legitimate chance to unseat him as the Raiders starting fullback if he impresses in camp. While he didn’t have many opportunities in college, Ingold made the most of them and displayed his grittiness. He could be a nice complement to Josh Jacobs in the Raiders backfield, and his style of play fits the “Gruden Grinder” mold that the Raiders head coach loves.

Raleigh McKenzie served as a college scout for more than seven years.Raleigh McKenzie said he has no hard feelings.“I’ve already come to grips with it,” McKenzie told Gehlken. “It’s not like I was blindsided. I always looked at it [and felt] there is a strong possibility. I’m just glad I was able to hang on as long as I did after my brother. I thought it was going to be a package deal. So I was able to finish what I started with the college scouting.”McKenzie was among the scouts General Manager Mike Mayock sent home April 19, thanking them for their services. The Dolphins hired Reggie McKenzie as a senior personnel executive in February. NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL will stage four games in London and one in Mexico City next season, with the Jaguars, Chargers, Rams, Raiders and Buccaneers serving as hosts. When the games will be played and who the opponents will be won’t be announce until the spring, when the league schedule for 2019 is released. The Jaguars have a deal to play annually in London. The Chargers Trent Brown Jersey , Rams and Raiders are considered to be playing in temporary stadiums — the Los Angeles teams will move into a new facility being built in Inglewood that won’t be ready next year — and the Raiders will be leaving Oakland for Las Vegas in 2020.Days after the Chiefs-Rams game scheduled for Azteca Stadium was moved to Los Angeles because of poor field conditions in November, the NFL announced it would be returning to play a regular-season game in Mexico City in 2019.This season had three games at Wembley Stadium in London — one of those was scheduled for Tottenham’s new stadium, but was switched to Wembley because the Spurs’ building was not ready. Previously, the NFL announced that two of the 2019 London games would be at Wembley, the other two at TottenhamEarlier this year, the Seahawks beat the Raiders 27-3, the Chargers defeated the Titans 20-19, and the Eagles beat the Jaguars 24-18.The NFL has played regular-season games in London since 2007. It played one in Mexico City in 2005, then not again until 2016 and ’17.“Our league’s global presence continues to grow and expand through the success of the NFL International Series and we look forward to showcasing the Buccaneers organization to an international audience,” said Brian Ford Justin Ellis Jersey , the team’s chief operating officer. The Bucs agreed to participate in an international game as part of their bid to host the Super Bowl in 2021. They’ve played twice in London, losing to the Patriots in 2009 and Bears in 2011.“I’ve been associated with games out of the country before,” coach Dirk Koetter said, “and when you get to them, I think the players do enjoy that week. Trips are long, usually you’re rewarded on the back end with your bye week. Once you’re over there, it’s football. It’s new and it’s different.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — The possibility of bringing in Colin Kaepernick for a tryout was “discussed” by the quarterback-needy Washington Redskins, according to coach Jay Gruden, who said Tuesday the team made a “strictly football” decision to look elsewhere.“Isn’t it obvious what the real reason is?” Kaepernick’s lawyer Cheap Dwayne Haskins Jersey , Mark Geragos, wrote in an email to The Associated Press.Kaepernick, who led the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance, hasn’t played since the 2016 season, when he began kneeling during the national anthem as a way to protest police brutality and social and racial injustice. He filed a grievance against the NFL last year, saying team owners colluded to keep him off rosters.Gruden told reporters during a conference call that there would have been “a greater possibility” of considering Kaepernick for a roster spot if the Redskins were in need of a QB in Week 1 rather than at this stage of the season.“Not a lot of time to really get a brand new quarterback and new system installed and taught in a couple of days of practice,” Gruden said. “So he’s been talked about and discussed, but we’ll probably go a different direction.”Added Gruden: “You want to have somebody with a similar skillset to the quarterback you have. Not that Colin can’t do some of the things that I’m talking about, but somebody with a little bit of familiarity.”Washington quarterback Colt McCoy had surgery Tuesday after fracturing his right fibula in a 28-13 loss at the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. McCoy had replaced Alex Smith as the starting quarterback after Smith broke his right leg in a game last month and was ruled out for the season.Gruden said McCoy would not go on injured reserve immediately because there is a slight chance he might be able to return to action by Week 17.Now the Redskins will turn to Mark Sanchez, who starts at QB next Sunday for the Redskins (6-6) against the visiting New York Giants (4-8).Against the Eagles, the 32-year-old Sanchez compiled a passer rating of 53.7, going 13 for 21 for only 100 yards with one interception and one fumble that he managed to recover.“For me to go in and play was in an emergency situation and those things happen. Now it goes from contingency plan to game plan,” Sanchez said. “Listen, I’ve seen just about everything in this league except for, I don’t know, a Super Bowl game.”He hasn’t started a regular-season NFL game since going 0-2 in the 2015 season.Sanchez’s career passer rating is 73.7, and he has more interceptions (87) than TD passes (86) since entering the league as a first-round draft pick of the New York Jets.Gruden said the Redskins would be bringing in a couple of unemployed quarterbacks for workouts later Tuesday and then would decide among them and those street free agents that tried out last month when Sanchez was signed. That group included Kellen Clemens, T.J. Yates, EJ Manuel and Josh Johnson.Notes: Already missing two starting guards, the Redskins lost two more against Philadelphia. Jonathan Cooper tore a biceps tendon and needs season-ending surgery; Tony Bergstrom will miss at least two games with a high ankle sprain. … LB Ryan Anderson will likely miss at least a week with a strained hamstring.

Remember last month when the Chiefs sent pass rusher Dee Ford to the 49ers for a second round pick? Well, now the Chiefs are looking to trade their first round pick this year and their second round pick next year to Seattle for pass rusher Frank Clark. No, seriously, that’s what is being reported right now.I mean, why trade Dee Ford at all if you are just going to then trade a bunch of picks to get Frank Clark? Do they really think Clark is that much better than Ford? Both players were slapped with the franchise tag and they are giving Clark a huge payday as well. Both players had 13.0 sacks last season and are one sack apart over their past two full seasons. Clark is three years younger (25) than Ford (28), so there’s that.It just seems like an odd series of events, but, hey, if that’s what the Chiefs want to do, more power to them. Raiders fans can laugh at them for it, but having to deal with Frank Clark twice a season is no laughing matter.Follow @LeviDamien Breaking down former Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise Brown and how he would fit with the Raiders"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Raiders StoriesScheduleRosterStatsYahoo Raiders NewsYahoo Raiders Team PageYahoo Raiders ReportYahoo Raiders Depth ChartYahoo Raiders TransactionsYahoo Raiders PhotosOdds About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub 鉁昇FL Draft 2019 scouting report: Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown won’t miss any time after Lisfranc surgeryNew,57commentsBreaking down former Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise Brown and how he would fit with the RaidersPDTShareTweetShareShareNFL Draft 2019 scouting report: Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown won’t miss any time after Lisfranc surgeryKevin Jairaj-USA TODAY SportsEntering the 2019 offseason with a desperate need at wide receiver, the Raiders sent a third and fifth round pick to the Steelers for Antonio Brown. But might the Silver & Black consider drafting his younger cousin Marquise “Hollywood” Brown as well? The Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist from Oklahoma is one of the most dangerous receivers in the 2019 NFL Draft and would immediately upgrade Jon Gruden’s offense giving him yet another toy to play with. Once considered a top-20 talent, Brown’s stock took a hit after he underwent Lisfranc surgery in February. However, recent reports say he is not expected to miss any of the offseason practices or training camp which could allow his draft stock to recover and makes him an intriguing option for the Raiders with one of their top four picks.Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma Measurables5’9”, 166 lbsStats2018: 75 Receptions, 1,318 Yards (17.6 Yards per Reception) Amari Cooper Jersey , 10 Touchdowns2017: 57 Receptions, 1,095 Yards (19.2 Yards per Reception), 7 TouchdownsAwards2018 Second-Team All-American2018 First-Team All-Big 122018 Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist 2017 All-Big 12 Honorable MentionStrengthsMarquise Brown is from Hollywood... Florida. He earned his nickname “Hollywood” due to his home-run ability and knack for highlight plays. In his two seasons as a starter at Oklahoma, Brown played at a different speed than his peers and he uses that speed and quickness to stretch opposing defenses. He is extremely quick in and out of his breaks which helps him to create separation from defensive backs. Among all FBS receivers, Brown ranked fourth in yards per route run and was fifth in deep passing yards according to Pro Football Focus. His impact in Oklahoma’s offense was similar to the one that Tyreek Hill has on the Chiefs. WeaknessesAt just 5’9” and 166 lbs, “Hollywood” has a small frame that could lead to durability issues in the NFL. Due to his size, he had trouble winning 50/50 balls and also struggled to make contested catches. Brown suffered a Lisfranc injury in February which could cause an otherwise first round talent to fall out of the first round. VerdictBecause of his size, NFL teams may be hesitant to view Brown as a number one receiver, but that would be a mistake as Tyreek Hill, DeSean Jackson, and Santonio Holmes are all players in a similar mold that excelled because of their speed and explosiveness. Brown will never fit the mold of a strong receiver that will win contested catches, but he doesn’t have to because of the separation he creates. His quickness and route running savvy often leave him so open, that his size becomes a non-issue. As his name suggests, “Hollywood” is a big time threat to score every play and is arguably the best wide receiver in the 2019 NFL Draft.Pro ComparisonTyreek HillFit with RaidersWith Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams projected to lineup on the outside, Marquise Brown would work out of the slot where he would add a different dimension to the Raiders offense. He would give the Silver & Black one of the best receiving trios in the NFL, and defenses would be forced to pick their poison between three extremely explosive receivers. While Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden could focus on improving the defense in the first round, it would be awfully tempting to draft get this kind of wide receiver talent at the top of the second round when the Raiders select at 35 overall.

    Yazar: chenyan94
Konu: Sean Davis couldn’t help
Gönderim Zamaný: 02.Aðustos.2019 Saat 09:05

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Sean Davis couldn’t help but notice the big-money contracts fellow NFL safeties landed during free agency. It was impossible not to.Landon Collins scored $84 million from the Washington Redskins. Earl Thomas snagged $55 million from Baltimore. Tyrann Matthieu and LaMarcus Joyner both signed for more than $40 million. That’s life-changing money.Still Anthony Chickillo Jersey , Davis insists he’s entering the fourth and final year of the rookie contract he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016 focused on taking a step forward after an occasionally bumpy 2018, not a possibly lucrative payday that beckons next spring.“Yeah I think the safety market went up,” Davis said Tuesday after participating in organized team activities for the first time after sitting out the first two weeks with what he described as overall stiffness.“That just puts a little more pressure on me to get the job done and to compete with (those) contracts but like I said, it’s no pressure. I’m not putting no pressure on myself. No pressure on my team. I’m just trying to do the best I can.”Something the Steelers need Davis to do if they want to bounce back from a late-season collapse in which they let a 2½-game lead in the AFC North disappear over the final month.Pittsburgh moved him from strong safety to free safety last summer, believing Davis’ physicality and experience would help him be a difference-maker in the secondary after cutting Mike Mitchell.Things didn’t exactly work out as planned. Paired with rookie strong safety Terrell Edmunds, Davis had a respectable 80 tackles, but also finished with just one interception as part of a secondary that grabbed just six in all and a defense that had only eight in 566 pass attempts, 28th in the league.“One interception is not acceptable Mike Hilton Jersey ,” Davis said. Not if Davis wants to close the gap between the player he thinks he can be and the player who has put together three seasons in which flashes of brilliance have been followed by bouts of inconsistency and a bit of bad luck. One snap against the Los Angeles Chargers last season symbolized all three.Pittsburgh was leading 23-7 late in the third quarter when Los Angeles quarterback Philip Rivers dropped back to pass . He tried to thread the ball to wide receiver Keenan Allen in the end zone only to have Davis and Steelers cornerback Joe Haden jump the route. Yet rather than knock it down or pick it off, they smacked into each other. The ball popped up in the air and into Allen’s awaiting arms for a touchdown, the spark that propelled the Chargers to a comeback victory.Aggression has never been a problem for the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Davis, whose massive biceps along with the visor that shields his eyes from view create an intimidating presence. He’s not afraid to throw his body around, a mindset that hasn’t cost him much in terms of playing time. He’s been remarkably durable. When he sat out the 2018 regular-season finale with a quadriceps injury, it marked the first game in his career he was forced to watch in street clothes.Davis believes he’s taken a step forward in each of his first three seasons. He understands he’ll have to take another one to help Pittsburgh get back to the playoffs.Though he insists he’s not worrying about his long-term prospects, he did switch agents over the winter Joe Haden Jersey , hiring Drew Rosenhaus to represent him in his final year before potential free agency.“I just needed a change,” Davis said. “Drew is a top agent. He wants the best for me.”Whether that means staying in Pittsburgh is uncertain. The Steelers typically make a concerted effort to keep players they covet from hitting the open market, yet Davis said the club has yet to reach out about a possible new deal. It’s something he’s trying not to worry about. More turnovers. We need more turnovers. (AP)As Josh Norman’s eyes darted back and forth, they kept going back to the TV showing NFL games unfolding in real time. Minutes after a rare Sunday afternoon practice wrapped up, the Washington Redskins cornerback couldn’t help but marvel at another turnover the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles forced in their rout of the Chicago Bears. ”They got another little turnover?” Norman said. ”Man. Our division’s so hard, but it’s OK. I’ll tell you what, our division’s so hard.” The bruised and battered Redskins aren’t catching the 10-1 Eagles, though their challenge is made even harder by a wacky schedule. As much of the rest of the NFL was playing games, the Redskins practiced in preparation for their second half of back-to-back Thursday night games when they visit the Dallas Cowboys. ”It’s kind of tough because this typically is a day you’re playing, but you’re out there full-tilt practicing, hitting hard and stuff like that,” defensive lineman Ziggy Hood said. ”Coach (Jay Gruden), he took care of us, making sure that everybody’s getting their work in, but he didn’t want to put too much strain on (our) bodies.” The strain is already there for Washington Womens Dwayne Haskins Jersey , which has 15 players on injured reserve, including top two running backs Rob Kelley and Chris Thompson. The Redskins (5-6) are hoping to get a few injured players back to face Dallas, though playing three games in 12 days is not much help. Left tackle Trent Williams (knee), tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) and safety Montae Nicholson (concussion) were among the players who didn’t practice Sunday. Gruden said Reed, who has missed four games in a row, is ”doing better,” but his is one of more than a dozen ailments bad enough to get listed on the injury report last week. ”Everybody’s hurt, banged up,” said linebacker Zach Brown, who has been listed with back, foot and Achilles tendon injuries. ”You got to take care of your body. You just can’t do a lot of stuff. You’ve got to rest, get massages, treatment Dwayne Haskins Jersey White , ice. You’ve got to just do stuff to try to get your body right for Thursday. Even on Thursday you’re still going to be sore a lot.” Norman couldn’t remember a previous Thursday to Thursday situation in his six-year NFL career. The Cowboys did it last year at this time, so coach Jason Garrett has a feel for the tempo of the week. ”You just kind of get yourself locked in,” Garrett said by conference call Sunday. ”Thursday to Thursday actually is the normal work week, so you can kind of get back into the flow of things. Today is Wednesday for us. You kind of get yourself on that body clock and just move forward.” Redskins players strapped the pads for practice for the first time in a while as everyone tried to trick themselves into thinking it was the middle of a normal week. In light of the schedule crunch, Gruden shortened practice and said it wasn’t the most energetic gathering of professional football players. That was expected. ”It was more about getting our pads back on a little bit early in the practice, getting our fundamentals down, taking a look at some of these new guys who we haven’t seen a whole lot, getting some work in,” Gruden said. ”We got our work in. It was more of a mental day. The physical part of it was pretty good. These guys are a little worn out right now.” Even with all the injuries, Washington still has chance, albeit a long shot, to make the playoffs. Norman went so far as to call it a blessing – one that would’ve been even better had the Redskins not blown a late lead at New Orleans in Week 11. ”It’s a very humbling experience since the fact of losing all those guys and we’re still in the thick of things,” Norman said. ”You take away all the dust and the smoke and everything else that people really say about this team and you see what type of fighters and guys we get off the street and come in and play and still win games Dwayne Haskins Washington Redskins Jersey , it’s pretty great. It’s a pretty amazing, remarkable feat.” — Germaine Pratt, LBSchool: NC State | Conference: ACCCollege Experience: RS Senior | Age: 22?Height / Weight: 6-2 / 240 lbsProjected Draft Status: 2nd or 3rd RoundNFL Comparison: Raekwon McMillanCollege StatisticsPlayer OverviewGermaine Pratt was a wide receiver and safety coming out of high school when he was ranked 4-stars by recruiting boards. Pratt decided to stay close to home and chose NC State over other offers from Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Virginia just to name a few. Pratt started his career at free safety and primarily contributed on special teams his first two years. Pratt was given a redshirt in 2016 due to recovery from shoulder surgery he was also converted to linebacker. That was a good decision. Pratt has been one of the best linebackers in the ACC and arguably in college football. He has produced nicely at the position and teams ought to be intrigued by his blend of size, physicality, and athleticism. As a converted safety he’s one of the best in the class as far as speed. Pratt showed off his speed at the Senior Bowl but will need to show off his movement and other skills at the combine to make a run up the board. If he can show that he has more flexibility and fluidity than previously thought he could go early on day 2 of the draft. StrengthsGood size, athleticism, and great speed for the position. Solidly built physique and can play with some power and has some pop to his hits. Has sideline to sideline athleticism makes a lot of plays others can’t because of his athleticism. Solid as a run defender and offers some pass rush ability as well.Has some versatility as he played inside and outside linebacker at NC State.Good tackler who can wrap up and stop opponents in their tracks.Looks pretty good in coverage moves well in space. WeaknessesOffers little resistance to offensive linemen blocking him. Can get washed out of plays pretty easily. Looked like he has close to zero moves to get off blocks. I’m not so sure about his instincts and read and react ability. He looks to be a bit slow in diagnosing plays but makes up a lot of ground with his speed. Thats not going to work nearly as well in the NFL.Has a bit of stiffness in his lower half would be big if he could show that he cleaned in up in offseason work otherwise he’ll probably be nicked for not ideal fluidity and change of direction ability. Would like him to have a bit more awareness as perhaps related to his instincts. In his hesitation or diagnosis its almost like he loses some urgency as he waits for the ball to come to him. This is especially evident when he’s rushing the QB. He seems to run into blocks rather than avoid them.Let’s see his work:More Germain Pratte videosHow He Would Fit On The Redskins?Pratt certainly is an intriguing option for the Redskins on day 2 of the draft. His athleticism is what the team has needed and the fandom has been craving for for a few years now. The Redskins ILB position is still in flux right now. Regardless of what Bruce Allen says there still is a chance Reuben Foster could be suspended for some period of time by the NFL not to mention the probability of Foster making a mistake again. Mason Foster should not be brought back for obvious reasons and the Redskins may not bring back Zach Brown as there seems to be some tension between him and the team. It would be a wise investment in the position to draft a player like Pratt on day 2 if they do not look to the position in the 1st rounds. Pratt has his issues but by and large he is fundamentally solid and is a well rounded player. He could start right away in this defense and has the skill set to remain on the field in all situations. Pratt probably would be the most athletic linebacker on the team and could definitely help the Redskins in the run game and in coverage. As he develops I expect him to be able to diagnose things a bit quicker (remember he is a converted safety). I think his potential is quite high and I would love to have him on the team.

The left-hander struck out seven and didn’t issue a walk while throwing just 96 pitches.

”My last outing against these guys didn’t go great – my second start of the year Garrett Bradbury Jersey , I think – so I was looking for some payback, too. So I was a little more amped than usual,” Gonzales said.

Mitch Haniger and Mike Zunino homered for Seattle.

Gonzales had been chased after just 2 1/3 innings of what became a 10-0 loss on April 9, but Friday’s start was much different. Gonzalez, who’d never taken a game into the eighth inning until going 7 1/3 innings against Tampa Bay earlier this month, didn’t need more than 13 pitches to finish any inning against the Royals.

”He has a lot of confidence right now because everything that’s happened to him this year, he’s earned Irv Smith Jr. Jersey ,” Mariners manager Scott Servais said.

Whit Merrifield singled to lead off the game and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Rosell Herrera. Gonzales picked Merrifield off second base to erase the baserunner and would retire nine straight batters before running into a spot of trouble in the fourth.

Herrera doubled off the glove of left fielder Denard Span with one out. An infield single from Mike Moustakas put runners on the corners, but Gonzales induced an inning-ending double play from Salvador Perez to keep the Royals off the board.

”The way that we’ve been playing and the fun that we’ve been having, I can’t wait for my fifth day to come,” Gonzales said. ”To be able to go out there and contribute in a positive way and have these guys rally behind you is pretty incredible.”

Royals starter Ian Kennedy (1-8) retired the first 10 batters he faced before running into trouble in the fourth. Jean Segura reached on an infield single to give Seattle its first baserunner of the game. Haniger followed with a two-run blast over the center-field wall to give the Mariners a 2-0 lead.

After fouling off three straight pitches with a 2-2 count, Zunino blasted a solo home run two rows from the top of the upper deck in left field to extend the Mariners’ lead to 3-0 in the fifth.

Kennedy left after five innings due to tightness in his left side that surfaced on the last pitch to Zunino.

”I felt it grab,” Kennedy said. ”And then the rest of the inning it stayed tight. The last couple pitches I was compensating for it, so I knew … the right thing to do is to say something.”

Segura added a two-out RBI single in the seventh inning off Brandon Maurer to give Seattle a 4-0 advantage.

Adalberto Mondesi doubled to open the ninth and Moustakas delivered a two-out single to center field to drive home the only run of the game for the Royals.

BONIFACIO RETURNS

Outfielder Jorge Bonifacio was recalled and back in the lineup for the Royals on Friday after completing an 80-game suspension for testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug. Bonifacio was suspended in March after testing positive for Boldenone Alexander Mattison Jersey , which is an anabolic androgenic steroid. Bonifacio started the game in left field and went 0 for 3 with a strikeout. He hit .255 with 17 home runs and 40 RBIs in 113 games as a rookie in 2017. OF Ryan Goins was designated for assignment on Thursday to clear a roster spot. ”It was a tough time down there in Arizona. But I learned from it. It’s never going to happen again,” Bonifacio said.

TRAINER’S ROOM

Royals: C Perez was back in the lineup after exiting Wednesday’s game in Milwaukee in the ninth inning after taking a foul ball off his right leg.

Mariners: 3B Kyle Seager was back in the lineup after making only a pinch-hit appearance in Baltimore on Sunday. Seager has an ”avulsion fracture” in his big toe and was given the day off in the field to rest. It’s not expected to require a disabled list stint and Seager is planning to play through the injury.

UP NEXT

Royals: RHP Jason Hammel (2-9) will make his 17th start of the season on Saturday. Hammel has lost four straight starts and has allowed at least three earned runs in three of the four outings.

Mariners: RHP Felix Hernandez (7-6) will take the hill for the 18th time this season as he looks to continue a run of strong starts. After a rough first two months of the season, Hernandez has allowed just one earned run in three of his five starts in June.

The Buffalo Bills hired Brian Daboll as offensive coordinator Sunday.

Coach Sean McDermott announced Daboll’s hiring two days after firing Rick Dennison.

The 42-year-old Daboll was the offensive coordinator for national champion Alabama. It was the sixth time he was part of the coaching staff for a national championship team.

Prior to last season, Daboll was the tight end’s coach for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. He has 17 seasons of coaching experience in the NFL, including stints as the offensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (2009-10), Miami Dolphins (2011) and Kansas City Chiefs (2012).

Daboll has previous ties to McDermott, as he was a restricted-earnings coach at William & Mary when McDermott was a senior safety in 1997. Daboll also has western New York roots Dru Samia Jersey , having graduated from St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, a few miles away from the Bills’ facility.

”We are excited to hire Brian as our offensive coordinator and welcome him back to western New York,” McDermott said in a statement posted to the team’s website. ”I know how much this area means to him. He is a good coach and a good teacher and has been part of winning programs in the NFL and in college.”

Daboll will be the Bills’ fifth offensive coordinator in six seasons.

The Bills finished 29th in offense this past season and their running attack fell to sixth after leading the league the past two seasons. Dennison’s play-calling was questioned after Buffalo scored just three points against Jacksonville in the franchise’s first playoff game in 18 years.

Daboll coordinated an Alabama offense that ranked 15th in the nation in scoring at 37.1 points per game and 13th in rushing. The Crimson Tide overcame a 10-point deficit to win the national championship game in overtime after freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was inserted into the game at halftime.

As a Patriots assistant from 2000-06 and 2013-16, Daboll won five Super Bowl rings.

—

Happ Will Harris Jersey , Baltimore’s Dylan Bundy and Cleveland’s Shane Bieber.

Manaea has never faced the Padres, but does have nine starts of interleague experience, having gone 2-5 with a 4.47 ERA.

Drop into just about any bank or supermarket or sports bar in the Kansas City metro area these days and there’s a good chance you’ll see one of several photographs from just a few years ago hanging on a wall.

It might be Yordano Ventura unleashing a fastball. Or Eric Hosmer sliding into home at Citi Field in New York. Or Wade Davis with his arms thrust high into the air, his blazing fastball having just closed out Game 5 of the World Series and making the Kansas City Royals the world champions.

More than likely, you’ll find the now-iconic photograph of Union Station, where an estimated 400,000 people turned out to celebrate the club’s first title in three decades.

Those photos are reminders of better times. And how quickly things can change.

The Royals, who were indeed baseball royalty in 2015, are now neck and neck with the Orioles for the worst record in baseball. They’ve traded off their star closer, their best players are struggling and the prospects that might one day raise them from the abyss are years away from joining the club.

”The record is what it is. The hitting is what it is. The pitching is what it is,” said Royals manager Ned Yost, who presided over the rebuild that led to back-to-back World Series appearances. ”I have to continue to lead. We have to make sure this year has not been a waste.”

How did things fall apart so quickly?

To start http://www.thelionsfootballauthentic.com/jahlani-tavai-jersey-authentic , the Royals doled out big contracts to players that have not produced. Left fielder Alex Gordon consumes 14 percent of the payroll in the third year of a $72 million, four-year deal, but he’s hitting just .247 with five homers and 15 RBIs. Right-hander Ian Kennedy consumes 11 percent of the payroll in the third year of a $70 million, five-year deal, and he’s 1-8 with a 5.11 ERA.

The few stars that remain on the roster have likewise struggled to produce.

Salvador Perez likely will see his streak of five straight All-Star games end. The catcher, in the third year of a $52 million, six-year deal, is hitting .255 with 11 homers and 33 RBIs.

Good luck winning many games that way.

The Royals were 25-61 heading into their off day Thursday and had lost 24 of their last 28 games. They needed to go 38-38 the rest of the way just to avoid the ignominy of 100 losses.

Making things worse: The Royals are losing that many games with a payroll of about $144 million.

Another reason for the precipitous slide was year after year of poor drafts. Only one of their 13 first-round picks since 2010 is currently on the 25-man roster; Hunter Dozier is hitting .223 in 44 games as he struggles to lock down an everyday job.

”As a young guy you know you’re going to fail, and in some ways we want you to fail because that’s how you’re going to get better,” said Yost, who is going through the same slow learning process with infielder and erstwhile top prospect Adalberto Mondesi.

The son of longtime big leaguer Raul Mondesi, he is hitting .214 in 42 at-bats this season.

”We also don’t want to heap too much on their shoulders T.J. Hockenson Jersey ,” Yost said, ”so it’s balancing act.”

Maybe that’s why the Royals have been slow to gut their roster in favor of a complete rebuild, even if that appears to be coming. They’ve already traded utility outfielder Jon Jay to the Diamondbacks and star closer Kelvin Herrera to the Nationals, getting five prospects in return that the Royals hope will help restock a farm system that remains one of the worst in baseball.

More moves could be coming, too. The Royals are hopeful of trading third baseman Mike Moustakas, who signed a one-year deal when no long-term offers materialized last offseason. Versatile infielder Whit Merrifield could land a few solid prospects, and left-hander Danny Duffy and even Perez could be made available, though both have torpedoed their value with poor seasons.

The combination of an old and bad team has been made even worse by the fact that the Royals are, well, pretty boring. They don’t hit an abundance of homers. Their starting rotation includes the first two pitchers to hit 10 losses in the majors. There are no young stars yet worth watching.

As a result, the Royals are drawing an average of 20,283 fans to Kauffman Stadium. That’s a drop of more than 7 http://www.thebroncosfootballauthentic.com/dre_mont-jones-jersey-authentic ,000 from last season and more than 13,000 from their championship season.

Still, for all the gloom, the typically irascible Yost has taken a decidedly optimistic approach to this season. He’s been through these long and painful rebuilds and come out the other side.

It takes patience. It takes smart moves. It takes more patience.

”There’s a lot of things to look at that you’re happy with, even though the record is what it is,” he said. ”There is progress that you’re going to see on the back end, in the light, just as we did in 2013 and 2014, when we turned the corner the last time.”

—

The $2.6 billion project won’t welcome fans through its doors for another two years.

But the Rams and the Chargers are eager to show you to your seat.

Los Angeles’ two NFL teams will begin selling season ticket memberships for their new stadium for the first time next week. Both will start with only their premium seating http://www.ravenscheapstores.com/miles-boykin-jersey-cheap , offering an array of privileges and amenities befitting the sizable price tags for the best 13,000-odd seats in what could be the most expensive arena in the world.

With relocation fading into memory after a pair of winning seasons in LA, both franchises are eager to move into the bright future promised by the palatial project rising in Inglewood. The 70,240-seat arena will also host the Super Bowl, the College Football Playoff title game and Olympic events in its first decade of existence after it opens in 2020.

”This has been a long time coming,” said A.G. Spanos, the Chargers’ president of business operations. ”When I was at USC, we were talking about a new stadium in LA back then. This has been a slow pot to boil in Los Angeles, but the future is here. This venue is incredibly exciting.”

In an office building in coastal Playa Vista, the teams will begin showing off the project to their fans on Tuesday, starting with visits from many current season ticket holders for both clubs. The sleek LA Stadium Premiere Center features detailed scale models, video hype reels and a staff with carefully curated sales pitches for the privately financed project spearheaded by Rams owner Stan Kroenke.

”It’s exciting when you fly in and you see the steel coming out of the ground, or when you drive up and you see the stadium starting to take shape,” Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff said. ”And now this is the first chance the fans really get to participate in being part of the stadium and seeing Stan’s vision come to life.”

The Rams and Chargers have also unveiled the first prices for tickets – and the prices for the stadium seat licenses that provide the opportunity to buy tickets.

Instead of selling the now-ubiquitous personal seat licenses http://www.coltscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-bobby-okereke-jersey Jersey , with which fans pay a sometimes-hefty fee for the opportunity to buy their tickets, the Chargers and Rams are selling a similar concept with a similar name, but one big difference: For the first time in NFL stadium history, that money will be returned to the fans – albeit in 50 years.

Instead of the naked cash grab of a PSL, the SSL is essentially an interest-free loan to finance the stadium construction. The structure also allows both the teams and the fans to avoid paying taxes on the licenses.

”We really feel like they are making an investment, and they’re a shareholder in the team and the stadium project,” Demoff said. ”For us, rather than fan money going to taxes, it can go directly to the construction of the building. It builds a better building, and it requires no taxpayer money to do so. It’s a unique concept that we expect will be replicated from here on out.”

The Rams’ stadium seat licenses will begin at $100,000 for the stadium’s 500 ”all-access” seats, located in two sections on either end of the 50-yard line. The Chargers’ SSLs will be $75,000 for the same seats, which include food and beverages Noah Fant Jersey , access to clubs, special parking and the guaranteed opportunity to buy tickets to the Super Bowl and every other event controlled by the stadium owners.

Those prices are higher than the most top PSLs for many recent NFL stadiums, but significantly lower than the reported $150,000 charged by the Dallas Cowboys for their top seats at AT&T Stadium, which opened in 2009. The 49ers charged $80,000 for the PSLs for the top 1,000 seats at Levis Stadium, which opened in 2014.

The Rams’ remaining SSLs for the premium seats range from $80,000 to $15,000, with most falling in the lower category for club seats. The Chargers’ other SSLs range from $50,000 to $10,000.

The Rams and Chargers are confident the structure will help as they persuade fans to pay for the licenses while knowing they’ll get all the money back in 2068 – or at least their heirs will.

Once the SSL is purchased, the Rams’ tickets for those premium seats are $375 per game http://www.denverbroncosteamonline.com/dalton-risner-jersey , and the Chargers’ are $350.

Both teams obviously will sell the other three-quarters of the stadium at much lower prices, and the ticket prices won’t change during the stadium’s first three years.

”It’s very hard to compete at the highest level if you don’t have a first-class facility, and that’s something that our family has been working toward for a long time,” said John Spanos, the Chargers’ president of football operations. ”We’re excited that it’s here soon.”

—

Max Fried was so good that he didn’t even need all the support Nick Markakis and the Braves provided for his first win of the season.

Markakis hit a grand slam, Fried took a shutout into the seventh inning and Atlanta beat the St. Louis Cardinals 11-4 on Saturday night.

”You’ve got to give all the credit to Max,” Markakis said. ”He went out and pitched one of the better games I’ve seen. For him, two runs early on was enough for him. It was nice to get some runs and give him a nice cushion there.”

The Braves have won the first two games of the three-game set. The Cardinals have dropped three in a row.

Fried (1-2) stymied the Cardinals on 101 pitches before being pulled with two outs in the seventh. Recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to start the game, he struck out 11, allowed four singles and walked three.

”My curveball was definitely on tonight,” said Fried, who also recorded his first major league hit with a single in the fifth. ”I was able to throw it for strikes, put it in the dirt when I wanted to. The big thing for me was getting the fastball over. I felt like I was able to get strike one pretty good. That was my main goal.”

Luke Weaver (4-7) went 4 2/3 innings, giving up 10 runs on eight hits Drew Lock Jersey , walking two and striking out five. He gave up homers to Markakis in his final inning and a two-run shot to Ronald Acuna Jr. in the second.

”At the end of the day, I was just done on a couple big swings,” Weaver said. ”I thought I threw some pitches in good spots, but it’s got to be executed a little bit better and you’ve just got to flush these types of days.”

The Braves sent 11 players to the plate in the six-run fifth. After Ozzie Albies doubled in Fried, the Cardinals intentionally walked Freddie Freeman to face Markakis. The right fielder hit his ninth homer of the season and fourth career grand slam off a 3-2 pitch.

”To be honest with you, I was just looking to hit something into the outfield and get a run in, and I ended up one of the better at-bats in the season,” Markakis said. ”I looked back at the video and (the pitch) wasn’t exactly where he wanted it, but he threw it somewhere close to the zone and I put a good swing on it.”

He added a sacrifice fly in the sixth to bring in Albies, finishing with five RBI on the day.

Albies went 3 for 5 and has a 10-game hit streak, batting .467 (21 for 47) during that span.

The Cardinals scored all of their runs in the ninth off Matt Wisler, including a leadoff home run from Jose Martinez.

LONGEVITY

Cardinals C Yadier Molina played in his 1,800th game, joining Hall of Famers Stan Musial http://www.denverbroncosteamonline.com/dre_mont-jones-jersey , Lou Brock, Ozzie Smith and Enos Slaughter as Cardinals to play in at least that many. Molina entered the majors in 2004 and has spent his entire career with St. Louis. He ranks 12th among active players in games played.

MOVES

To make room for Fried, the Braves designated OF Peter Bourjos for assignment. Bourjos, in his first year with the Braves, was batting .205 in 36 games. He also played for St. Louis in 2014 and 2015.

TRAINING ROOM

Braves: RHP Arodys Vizcaino (shoulder inflammation) is expected to come off the 10-day DL on Monday. The Braves closer threw a side session Saturday and is on target for his return to the team. … C Tyler Flowers, who left Friday’s game with a right hamstring cramp after flying out to end the sixth inning, didn’t start Saturday. The Braves said it was part of the regular rotation between Flowers and C Kurt Suzuki. The two have alternated starts for the past 16 games.

Cardinals: RHP Luke Gregerson (right shoulder impingement) is scheduled to begin a rehab stint at Triple A Memphis on Sunday. He has yet to appear with the minor league club since going on the 10-day DL on May 16.

UP NEXT

Braves: RHP Mike Foltynewicz (5-4, 2.14) goes for his first win in a month. After tossing a 4-0 shutout against the Washington Nationals on June 1, he went 0-1 in his final three starts of the month. He failed to get past the fifth in any his final three June outings.

Cardinals: RHP John Gant (2-2, 3.48) is coming off his best start of the season, giving up one hit over seven innings as St. Louis beat the Cleveland Indians 4-0 on Monday. This is his first appearance against his former club since a 2016 trade that saw the Cardinals send starting pitcher Jaime Garcia to the Braves in exchange for three minor leaguers, including Gant.

—
